길목마다 있는 편의점, 안 가보신 분은 없겠죠? 저는 주로 특정 편의점에만 파는 먹을거리를 사러 가거나 할인 제품을 사러 편의점에 갑니다. 예전에는 편의점이 마트보다 비싸다는 이미지가 있었는데 요즘에는 원쁠원, 투쁠원, 프로모션 기간을 잘 이용하면 훨씬 저렴한 가격에도 살 수 있더라고요. 편의점에 무언가 사러 갔을 때, 반대로 편의점 알바 입장에서 손님을 대할 때 어떻게 영어로 말할 수 있는지 주요 영어 표현들을 살펴보겠습니다. 

손님 입장

1. look for a discounted product 할인 상품을 찾다

• When you're shopping, make sure to look for discounted products to get the best deals.
• I always look for discounted snacks when I stop by the convenience store.

2. heat up instant food in the microwave 전자레인지에 즉석식품을 데우다

• If you're in a hurry, you can heat up instant noodles in the microwave for a quick meal.

3. check up the expiration date of [product] ~의 유통기간을 확인하다

• Before purchasing any food items, it's essential to check up the expiration date for freshness.

1+1은 'buy one, get one free' 또는 'two for the price of one' 이라고도 말해요.

아르바이트 (알바) 직원 입장

미국에서는 a convenience store와 비슷한 의미로 a gas station을 쓰기도 해요.

미드를 보면 주유소에 간단한 먹을거리는 파는 장면을 종종 볼 수 있는데요.

주유소가 편의점과 함께 있는 경우가 많기 때문입니다.

굳이 a plastic back이라고 하지 않아도 된답니다.
