겨울, 추위에 대해 영어로 말해보자

어제는 화이트 크리스마스였는데요, 즐거운 크리스마스 보내셨나요? 오랜만의 화이트 크리스마스였던 것 같습니다. 이번 겨울은 작년보다는 전체적으로는 덜 추운 것 같다가도 따뜻했다가 갑자기 추워지면 더 춥게 느껴지는 것 같아요. 추워서 발가락에 감각이 없다, 너~~~~무 춥다, 겨울 날 준비를 하다, 옷을 겹겹이 입다와 같이 겨울에 자주 사용하는 영어 표현들을 정리해보았습니다.

추운 겨울에 대한 영어 표현

1. Bundle up 따뜻하게 옷을 입다

A: "It's freezing outside!"

B: "Yeah, we better bundle up before we go out."

2. Warm up 몸을 데우다

A: "I can't feel my fingers!"

B: "Let's go inside and warm up with some hot cocoa."

3. Chill to the bone 뼛 속까지 시린 추위다

A: "This wind is chilling me to the bone!"

B: "Let's get inside and escape this cold."

4. Shiver 추워서 몸을 떨다

A: "I forgot my coat, and now I'm shivering."

B: "Here, take my scarf. It might help."

5. Thaw out 얼어붙은 것이 녹다
